Hi there, my name is Paul Ethier. Welcome to my personal website. Here you can find information pertaining to myself such as my education, experience and work history.
My academic experience has lead me through a number of paths, from volunteering as a teaching and tutoring assistant in multiple high school classrooms to becoming a writing tutor at Rhode Island College during my undergraduate education. I graduated with a B.A. in English and began employment at the State of Rhode Island through the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDHH) at Eleanor Slater Hospital as a Telephone Operator. I worked in this position before transferring into the dietary department as a Cook's Helper. During my time in the kitchen I took the opportunity to enroll in an online Paralegal certificate program through Boston University while working full time, and was later promoted to Senior Janitor, operating as an assistant-supervisor within the Environmental Services Department.
In April of 2018 I relocated to Illinois and began employment at a law firm working as a front desk legal assistant that summer. After acclimating to the field of elder law, which specializes in probate of decedent's estates, guardianships of individuals with disabilities, and estate planning, I was promoted to the position of paralegal in January of 2020. I enjoy utilizing my education and experience to assist the attorneys in serving their clientele in the field of elder law.
